Gravel & Gold is a joint project that fosters
collaboration among makers and the general
curious.
By providing a collection of resources culled for their exuberance and
steeped
in love—certain books, music,
objects & tools, moving pictures, skills, and intelligence—we find
an alchemy occurs. New connections are made, new work is inspired,
alliances are formed, and objects come home to their fated custodians.
We
began with a tiny shop in the Mission District of San Francisco, at the
corner of Treat and 18th Street, that has stuck its course and given
rise to a whole hive of activity. Today we like to think of Gravel
& Gold as two parts sharing of information, one part sharing of
experiences, and one part sharing of goods. We invite you to hop in and
